His book Rationality and the Pursuit of Happiness and his most recent book, The High-Performance Mindset at Work, School and Home, reveal how anyone can use the principles of rational living identified by Albert Ellis and social-emotional learning to achieve lifelong happiness. 

About the episode

The episode started with defining some practices to cultivate self-acceptance, the benefits of those practices, and some challenges of practicing an attitude of self-acceptance. The discussion on positive psychology and positive toxicity will shine a light on how some amount of negative thinking can actually be beneficial. Dr. Bernard also discussed the program that kids go through and how the self-acceptance practice can be applied in the family, at work, and in society.
