Meet Dr. Marta Landoni

Dr. Marta Landoni is a postdoctoral researcher at the Catholic University of Milan. She specializes in perinatal mental health and is particularly interested in the somatic and physical awareness of expectant mothers and in the application of holistic and evidence-based treatments in the perinatal field, including mindfulness, narrative, and digital interventions. 

Moreover, she has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Catholic University of Milan, where she studied the influence of the 5-HTTLPR polymorphism on postpartum disorders. She is a member of the Network on Perinatal Mental Health, sponsored by the Behavioural Sciences and Mental Health Reference Centre of the National Institute of Health, which aims to collect data and experiences on anxiety and postpartum depression nationwide to gain insights into the potential impact of the epidemic emergency. 

She has recently started working in Australia at the Parent-Infant Research Institute in Melbourne on a research project looking at digital and evidence-based treatments for expectant parents.
