In this episode hosted by Aditi Kutty, Dr. Jennifer discussed some common problems with building sexual and emotional intimacy in relationships. These problems included genetic personality, where some people are just emotionally distant, and different home cultures, such as alcoholic parents or caring for parents with mental illnesses.
According to Dr. Jennifer, learning mindfulness is essential if you want to be emotionally intimate with your partner. Being present and aware of what’s inside and outside of you helps you understand yourself and your partner.
Emotional and sexual intimacy is vital to maintaining a healthy relationship. Through this, you build trust and connection with your partner.
