About the episode

In this episode hosted by Gabriella Joustra, Patricia said home organization entails the layout of an interior while ensuring that it works well, feels good, and reflects the people who live in it.

She also mentioned common mistakes people make, including trying to squeeze so much into a space. Also, she advised that you don’t research beyond colors, patterns, and looks; within the industry, one of the most important guidelines you have to follow is the dimension of the objects, which designers call ‘clearances’ for the reason of practicality.

Additionally, Patricia said that there are multiple layers regarding where things can go, should go, and how they are placed in the space.

In conclusion

The ergonomics of bathrooms entail ease of use and sequence of use. So, if you decide to renovate your room, spend time researching the bathroom that you want: where you want to put your things, measure the dimensions, and then round up what is possible to execute and not to do. The bathroom is the most expensive room to renovate, right after the kitchen. So budget things as well.
