About the episode

Meredith thinks of gardening organization as a separate discipline and science from home organization. She discussed the importance of planning out your garden and learning the science of growing plants, which are distinct practices from what you might think of in home organization.

From here, the conversation then turned into the key steps in creating a well-organized home garden. Meredith talked about the importance of at least 6 hours of sunlight, designing and planning garden setup, and optimizing soil quality. She also discussed valuable tips about creating proper and productive garden beds.

One of the highlights of the conversation was the tips Meredith gave on how gardeners can effectively plan the layout of their gardens. She discussed the importance of setting a goal, learning plant groupings, and discovering the effects of seasons on your plants.

Meredith also discussed strategies for people who want to grow plants with minimal space and minimal sunlight. She talked about continual harvest plants, such as basil, salad greens, other herbs, etc. Her best tip is to plan your garden according to your goals, such as choosing plans that suit your setup and availability.
