About the episode

The episode started with Jaz’s personal journey, about her being an author and speaker. Jaz defines self-confidence as an internal narrative and that we have a sense of control that allows us to live life as we want it. She explains it by saying that instead of locking yourselves up with the words, “I am not good enough” replace them with “I am enough, and people like me make decisions like this“.

Jaz emphasized the value of resilience in dealing with downfalls and how it impacts confidence.

She advises that for us to rebrand failure to boost our confidence, we need to have the right mindset, like having a conversation with ourselves and thinking about how to respond in those situations. Also, Jaz suggested using the three Ms (mentor, mates, and mindset) as a strategy when willing to make a change.

In conclusion

Failures are part of life, and they can still provide invaluable experience for us by learning through them. The key to overcoming these circumstances is to learn to be resilient. After you acknowledge the situation and start to move forward and learn through it, you’ll find yourself more confident.
