For most people, the use of social media has become part of their everyday routine. Not only is it used for entertainment, but also to connect with family and friends. But what happens when the use of social media becomes unhealthy? Is there a better way to utilize social media more effectively?

Meet Dianne Masri

Dianne Masri is the founder of Media Pixel Consultants. Her broad experience and training, combined with a passionate interest in entrepreneurship, personal development, and community empowerment, allow her to offer effective business-building results through a variety of social media platforms. 

She believes in the importance of helping clients find their authentic voice and replace fear with love in any situation. By doing so, she helps clients effectively connect with whom they want to and establish a platform that is true, grounded, and an effective vehicle for their profile, products, or services.

Moreover, Dianne has worked with varied clients ranging from influencers and visionaries to creatives and solopreneurs. Her work can entail living Twittering for an event, managing a high-profile account, running a workshop for creatives, PR, etc. Through social media, she has been able to connect with some of her greatest teachers and also make deep and wonderful friendships.

The conversation started between the host, Adity Kutty, and Dianne when the latter defined personal development as the processes that really help you evolve, have self-awareness,

and enable you to be fulfilled and have your own inner peace. She also mentioned three main challenges to attaining personal development, including fear, discipline, and motivation.

Then Dianne discussed social media content where different people use apps for different purposes, which could be personal or business-related. Though the use of social media carries pressure, she said that this could be avoided; you don’t have to be involved in the discussion or posts if that doesn’t suit you or your brand; however, if it’s something dear to you, you can work on it in other ways that don’t have to be everything on social media.

She also shared some practical tips on how one can deal with mental blocks and fears around social media, such as journaling, meditating, etc.

In conclusion

As many people rely on social media, unhealthy use can be harmful to one’s well-being. But the ability to self-regulate and develop good habits can be helpful when it comes to using social media.
